WHAT IS THE CENTEX ANIME FEST?

Join us as we celebrate all things pop culture! With cosplay, panels and contests, tabletop gaming, artists and vendors, and more, we have something for everyone. 

New to anime and gaming events? We've got you covered! This is a family friendly event with tabletop gaming, Pokémon hunting, crafting, and so much more!

TICKETS

  1. What are the hours? 

    1. CenTex Anime Fest will be held on Saturday, October 17th, from 10:00am until 6:00pm. The Vendor Sneak Peek and Anime-Niacs After Dark take place the day before, Friday October 16th. The sneak peek is at the Homestead Hall on the Square 4-7pm, and the After Dark event (tickets pre-sales only) is 8:30-11pm.

    2.  VIP guests will be allowed into the park at 9:00am on the day of the event.

  2. When can I buy tickets?

    1. Online ticket sales will open on July 15, 2026. Online tickets are available at a discount. Limited tickets will be sold at the gate at full price.

    2. VIP tickets will also be available online on July 15, 2026; sales run through October 1st.

  3. Where can I buy tickets?

    1. Ticket sales will be available on our website beginning July 15, 2026. 

    2. We will also be participating in various events in and around Comanche in person starting in May including the Comanche Pow Wow. Check out our Facebook page for event info on where to find us!

  4. What do tickets include? 

    1. General admission tickets allow access to the city park for all games, activities, gaming opportunities, panels and trivia, and access to vendors and artists for shopping. There are several options available for food, beverages, and other snacks available for purchase. Some additional activities at the event may require purchases.

    2. VIP tickets include all the above as well as a commemorative tote swag bag with limited edition items, an exclusive event tee shirt, early access to the venue, priority space in line for certain attractions, and exclusive access to the VIP “respawn” lounge. Additionally, VIPs are invited to Friday afternoon Vendor Sneak Peek free of charge. 

    3. Each badge will include Pokemon hunting. One ticket will be given to each guest; guests must give tickets to staff running the activity in order to participate. Guests may only hunt once (there will be no extra tickets). 

    4. More activities and perks will be announced as we get closer to October!

  5. Will my badge be shipped to me?

    1. We do not ship badges.

    2. All pre-paid badges can be picked up at the gate when your code is scanned. Make sure to have your code either printed out or on your phone.

  6. What is the refund policy?

    1. CenTex Anime Fest has a no-refund policy. General admission tickets may be sold or given away to someone else.

    2. VIP tickets can be transferred or sold, but the original purchaser must email Comanche Con with proof of purchase (transaction number and method of payment) along with name of new VIP guest. After October 1st, tee shirt size can no longer be changed.

  7. Do VIP perks cover children?

    1. VIP guests who also purchase a child’s ticket (age 4-12) may include the child in VIP perks, such as use of the VIP lounge, early access to the park, and VIP seating at panels.

    2. Children of VIP pass holders do not get the swag bags or tee shirts.

    3. Children ages 13+ must also purchase an adult VIP pass to receive all VIP perks.

    4. One VIP pass may include perks for up to three (3) children’s tickets.

  8. Is there a “come and go” policy?

    1. Attendees will receive a badge and wrist band upon entry to the park. Those wishing to exit the park and re-enter at a later time MUST present badges and unaltered wrist bands. 

    2. Both wrist band and badge must be presented when returning. Guests missing one or the other will not be allowed back in the park.


MISCELLANEOUS/POLICIES

  1. Is there somewhere I can take my children to take a break and/or calm down?

    1. The Comanche city park spans over 41 acres, including walking trails, picnic tables, swingsets, and other playground equipment- perfect for relaxing and getting away from crowds.

    2. Not quite ready to stop all play? Check out one of the quieter booths- creating a superhero mask, origami, and other children’s activities.

  2. How much does parking cost?

    1. Parking is free at CenTex Anime Fest.

    2. There is a designated area for VIP parking as well as disabled parking spaces.

  3. I didn’t get a chance to pre-order a tee shirt. Are they for sale at the event?

    1. At this time, there may be some tee shirts available for purchase at the event. This is subject to change.

    2. All pre-ordered tee shirts will be available to pick up at check-in. 

  4. What are wifi and device options?

    1. There is no dedicated wifi, however there is excellent reception in the park.

    2. CenTex Anime Fest VIPs will have a charging station at the Respawn tent. 

  5. Where are smoking areas?

    1. Per city regulations, there is NO SMOKING anywhere on city property. Guests must keep their wristbands on and go out to the parking lot to smoke/vape.

    2. Additionally, there is no alcohol permitted at this event either.

  6. Is CenTex Anime Fest pet friendly?

    1. Pets are not allowed at the Anime Fest. Well-behaved service dogs are allowed in; owners may be asked the authorized questions per ADA requirements. Failure to clean up after your dog will result in being asked to remove the animal from the city park.

    2. Uncontrollable or aggressive service animals will be asked to leave the property, in accordance with local and federal law.

    3. In accordance with federal law, emotional support animals are not given public access and are not allowed at the CenTex Anime Fest. This includes the city park as well as Homestead Hall.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. ABSOLUTELY NO LIVE WEAPONS OF ANY KIND. Due to the nature of the convention and cosplay,  and the prop weapons and their requirements, there will be no live weapons of any kind allowed in the park no matter the personal licensing. Only security officers are authorized to carry live weapons in the park. No sharp metal or wooden weapons are permitted. All weapons must be checked at the info booth; orange tags will be attached to signal they have been checked and approved for entry.

  2. DRONES ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE FESTIVAL.

  3. BADGES: wristbands will be issued at the Vendor Sneak Peek (no badges, including VIPs). The After Dark event will have a guest list; show your ID to enter. IDs will also be checked to ensure attendees are 18 or above. Anyone under 18 who purchased a ticket will be turned away with no refund. Attendees at the Saturday festival will receive both a badge and wristband, and must show both (unaltered) in order to re-enter the park. Badges and wristbands must be worn at all times while at the event.

  4. CODE OF CONDUCT: Attendees must respect all rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Those harassing other guests or violating rules will be asked to leave. CenTex Anime Fest presented by Comanche Con reserves the right to revoke, without refund, attendance of anyone not in compliance with this policy. Anyone who finds themselves in a situation where they feel their safety is at risk, or sees someone violating the rules, should immediately find a staff member, volunteer, or member of the security team to express their concerns. Anyone violating these rules will immediately be asked to leave the premises. 

  5. COSPLAYS/COSTUMES: this is a family friendly event. All cosplays must cover bathing suit areas: chest area and underwear area. Males wearing skin-tight pants must wear a loin cloth, cod piece/athletic cup, dance belt, or something similar. 

  6. COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT! DO NOT TOUCH OR RECORD COSPLAYERS WITHOUT EXPLICIT CONSENT. Anyone violating this policy will immediately be escorted out of the park or Homestead Hall and their wristband removed or marked to show their re-admittance is revoked.

  7. WEARABLE RECORDING TECH IS NOT PERMITTED. We ask that guests not bring these types of items in order to ensure the privacy, safety, and comfort of guests, vendors, and staff. ADA assistive devices are excluded from this policy. This policy will allow guests and others to be more comfortable without worrying about the possibility of unwanted recording without their consent. Ask before photographing or video-recording other attendees.

  8. NO HANDOUTS ALLOWED. Attendees are not permitted to hand out materials while on festival grounds. Vendors wishing to hand out materials or information must remain in their booths; they cannot step out and pass things around. 

  9. NO BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, ETC. ALLOWED. To ensure the safety and comfort of others, these items are not permitted. Those with mobility issues are permitted, per ADA regulations. They must advise staff at the gate before entering the park (they do not have to disclose their disability/health issues).

  10. NO HANDCARTS, TROLLEYS, ROLLING LUGGAGE, ETC. These bulky items are not permitted in order to ensure safety and mobility of others. Guests needing to transport items may take their items to their car and re-enter, provided they keep their badge and wristbands on. Those with oversized or heavy items may ask a volunteer to assist them.

  11. LOST AND FOUND AREA: there will be a lost and found area at the front gate. Please point this out to children as well and have them make their way there if they find themselves lost/alone. There will not be a PA system, so head to the front gate if lost or if you are searching for children.

  12. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT CENTEX ANIME FEST. Well-behaved service dogs are allowed in; owners may be asked the authorized questions per ADA requirements. You will be asked to stop at the ADA/info booth right inside the gate to receive a service dog tag for your badge. Failure to clean up after your dog will result in being asked to remove the animal from the city park. Uncontrollable or aggressive service animals will be asked to leave the property, in accordance with local and federal law.

  13. NO SALES/DONATION REQUESTS, ETC ALLOWED IN THE PARK OR PARKING LOT. Only vendors, artists, or organizations that have purchased booth space may make sales/request donations, provided they remain in their booth space.

  14. NO RUNNING. Running through a crowded festival is dangerous not only for the runner but for other guests as well. To ensure the safety of all, running is not permitted within the city park or other weekend activities. A warning will be given the first time; after that the runner (and parent/guardian if underage) will be escorted off the premises.

  15. NO SMOKING OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping, and other nicotine and alcohol products. These regulations are in accord with city government policy. Those found with/using these items will be issued one warning and then escorted off the premises and banned from the event if caught a second time. This policy applies to ALL activities, including the Vendor Sneak Peek and Anime-Niacs After Dark.

  16. NO STROLLERS IN PAVILIONS OR HOMESTEAD HALL. Attendees may park strollers outside during games/panels, shopping at the vendor sneak peek, etc.

  17. OTHER BEHAVIORS: any other behavior deemed to be disruptive or dangerous will be handled at the discretion of staff and security officials. Those found to violate rules and policies will be ejected from the park or other.
